'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Not Good Enough

Well, thats the Cup dream over for another year, made even sadder than usual by a look at the remaining names in the hat.

Bristol, Barnsley, West Brom, Sheffield United still hanging in there..... we may well have squandered one of the best chances the side will have for many a year to progress to the semi's, and from there, who knows?

'I feel sorry for the fans' Mick McCarthy said following the dismal 2-0 defeat to Dave Jones Cardiff City.

Thanks for that Mick. And there was us thinking you didn't care.

90 seconds was all it took to split the Wolves defence. 90 seconds!!!

Still, we should be getting used to that by now, with 3 of the last four games following the same pattern.

McCarthy boldly opted for a 4-3-3 formation, and was left bemoaning the lost opportunity caused by conceding such an early goal.

'I'll never know whether that shape or that team would have done anything because we were a goal down after 80 seconds.' he said after the match.

'The fans outside are giving the players stick getting warmed down and thoroughly deserved, we were very poor.

'It was as bad a performance as we've had all season that.'

At a time when promotion bound sides are usually now in full flow, that final indictment was possibly the most disapointing thing of a thouroughly woeful weekend for Wanderers fans everywhere..
