Ebanks-Blake In Actim Top 10

Silky Sylvan

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake moved into the top 10 in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, as he helped Wolverhampton Wanderers maintain their play-off push.

After drawing a blank in the 2-1 defeat by Preston at Deepdale, the former Manchester United striker responded by posting 31 points in a goalscoring performance as Wolves beat Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor.

His tally was enough to haul him up five places to eighth in the Index with 501 points.

Ebanks-Blake is one of four Wolves players in the top 100 with Wayne Hennessey (455 points), Kevin Foley (391) and Karl Henry (367) sitting 21st, 60th and 82nd respectively.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Wolves players are:

Player, Ranking, Position Ranking, Index Score

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, 8th, 3rd Ranked Striker, 501

Wayne Hennessey, 21st, 4th Ranked Goalkeeper, 455

Kevin Foley, 60th, 17th Ranked Defender, 391

Karl Henry, 82nd,22nd Ranked Midfielder, 367

Neill Collins, 132nd, 46th Ranked Defender, 294

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
