Charlie mulls move

Southend United are in talks with Wolves to make defender Charlie Mulgrew a Shrimper.

Mulgrew impressed manager Chris Brush enough during his 3 month loan to earn an offer of a permanent deal currently being negotiated with the Wolves Board

'Charlie is on our list and we have had a conversation with Wolves,'

'The ball is in Wolves' court at the moment and we are waiting to hear back.' he told the Southend official site.

A make weight in the deal that took Lee Naylor to Parkhead, the Scotland Under 21 international has never managed to command an extended starting spot in the Wolves line up.

Good luck for the future Charlie.

The guy was never really good enough. We got rid of a good lad in Nayor. Made too many mistakes, like Mulgrew, but could cross the ball and get forward. A comparison to Elokobi maybe?
