'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Open door policy

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has left the door open for any of his transfer listed stars to re ignite their Molineux careers.

There are currently six first team players transfer listed and McCarthy wouldn't have a problem bringing them back into the fold if they are still at Wolves come the end of the summer upheavals.

'The list went out at the end of the season but it might not be that they all go," McCarthy said in the E & S.

"If they don`t they`ll come back and knowing the players, those that do will be committed and trying to get into the team.

"It might make us think and suddenly they can get back in the side and are playing again, that`s how it happens."

One player who may not be in that list is Darren Potter.

As McCarthy and Wolves step up their bid to sign Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty, Potter's name has gone into the hat as an additional makeweight to the deal, with the Clarets valuation of Lafferty still exceeding Wolves, and Stephen Elliott plus cash failing to whet their appetite sufficiently.
