Two weeks, if you had asked most Wolves fans where there team was going most would have said nowhere.
Following a loss to Leicester, and a draw with Crewe Wolves sat 9 points away from 6th, and their hopes of a play off spot seemed to be fading.
But thanks to three back to back wins Wolves have now closed the gap with Preston to two points, and brought a bit of much needed confidence back to the underfire players.
Much is down to loan signing Jeremie Aliadiere, who in little over ninety minutes has earned one match winning penalty, and scored a well taken opening goal last Saturday at Hull.
Arriving at the club when he did, Aliadiere is perfectly placed to register the emotional change in the dressing room that back to back wins have caused. Speaking to Wolves World he said
'When I came in the first week or so the team were a bit down because of results. But we had a good win and all of a sudden the team were much closer together with a really good atmosphere. These last three wins will certainly make that a lot easier as well.'
Aliadiere has proved his professional credentials by more than just his goalscoring ability. Normally a straight centre forward, Jeremie has had to adapt his game to fit in with Glenn Hoddle's design.
And he's more than prepared to work hard adapting his game to help Wolves earn promotion.
'Playing on the right is a bit harder than playing up front because you have to work defensively as well but I will get better.' he added.
If that hard work converts into more Wanderes victories Jeremie will seal his place in the heart of every Wolves fan.
And in the history books, should he help them achieve their dreams.
