Moving Target

The Kyle Lafferty will he, won't he saga looks finally to be over, with young Kyles destination ever more likely to be Ibrox.

With only a medical standing in the way of the £3m cash bid plus Alan Gow going through, Wolves haves switched their attention to another coveted young striker, Peterborough's Aaron McLean

"Aaron is one of a number of players we are looking at at the moment." Jez Moxey said on Tuesday.

Which is good news as prising McLean away from Posh will be no small feat.

His 29 goals last season helped Peterborough gain promoion from League Two , and ex Wolves player and current Posh manager Darren Ferguson is quite emphatic over the current situation surrounding his prized star.

"Wolves have made a bid, but we dismissed it out of hand.

"Wolves may come back to us, but I seriously doubt they could tempt us to sell.' he said

Everyone has their price, and McLean may have his, but whether Wolves are prepared to match it is another thing.

And as with Lafferty, any hint from Ferguson that he is ready to haggle will attract more than Morgans millions to the bargaining table

Well think McLean would be a top-quality signing, whether Peterborough would sell is a different matter.
