Wolves Enter The Race For Beevers?

Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers is very much in demand and reports are circulating that Wolves are prepared to enter the chase by offering £1.75m for him.

Wednesday manager Brian Laws says that he wants to keep hold of him, and only a big money offer would tempt him to sell (even though this isn't what he wants) and so far despite rumoured interest from Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle United he has stayed at Hillsborough.

Do you think that Mick McCarthy is planning a £1.75m move for Mark Beevers? Would you even want him to if that were the case?

This lad ticks all the boxes, he's young, talented and hungry. He has a fair bit of Championship experience considering his age too. I really wanted to see Berra pull on a Wolves shirt but if that isn't going to happen then this guy is a potentially a great signing. Great under 19 players don't always go on to be be really top pros (look at Bothroyd) while some players don't really reveal their true potential until they have matured a little, so any youngster is a bit of a gamble but I reckon this lad is worth the punt. It's certainly a bigger gamble than investing in Berra or even Steerman, both of whom have packed in a lot of experience for their age. The only problem I can see is the price. If Wednesday really don't want to sell then they can do exactly what Peterborough did and price the kid out of the market.

it will take a lot more than £1.75m for this lad he is 5hit hot... had the likes of kevin phillips n james beattie in his pocket in games last season!! if he does go it will be big money n he'll go to the premiership not wolves!!

I have a lot of good mates who are wolves fans so I say this with all due respect for a club and manager I like a great deal. Shove the £1.75m where the sun don't shine, it's a joke for this lad will play for England.
