Bury Close To Securing Bennett

Bury manager Alan Knill has said that a deal to see Wolves youngster Elliott Bennett return to Gigg Lane on loan this season could be completed shortly: 'There have been other clubs in for him but he wants to come and Mick McCarthy is for him coming here,' Knill told the official Bury website. 'He needs to be playing every week, that's how he will develop.

'There is no point in him going to a so-called bigger and better club and being on the bench.'

19-year-old Bennett made 19 appearances for the Shakers last season, joining them on loan in January, and despite plenty of speculation linking the midfielder with plenty of League One and Two clubs Knill believes the deal will be confirmed soon, going on to add: 'The last time I spoke to him he said he was coming and it's the same with Mick McCarthy, so I kind of take their word for it rather than anyone else's.'

Do you think that loaning Bennett to Bury again this season is the right thing to do, and they are the best club to help him further develop?
