Weaver Appointed Development Coach

Steve Weaver has been appointed as the development coach at Wolves.

Weaver, who had been with Wrexham in various coaching roles for 20-years, does not want to be tied to merely his key role, the development coach with the club, he also wants to help search for talent among the lower leagues to help identify talent that might not have yet been snapped up.

The role of development coach is aimed at speeding up the development and progression of the players in the Academy side through to first-team level. Although at the moment Weaver is working with the transfer-listed Seyi Olofinjana, Stephen Elliott and Jay Bothroyd, as well as a few others that didn't go on the tour of Scotland.

What do you think of the appointment of Steve Weaver at Molineux, and what are you expecting him to achieve?
