Matt back in training

Matt Murray is once again well on the road to recovery, but Mick McCarthy is in no hurry to rush the unfortunate shot stopper back into action.

'I know he wants to get back but it's more important he has the next six or seven years of his career rather than the next three or four weeks - that's not going to make a blind bit of difference.' he told the clubs official site.

Murray's career to date has been a stop start affair, more often stop than start.

Entering his seventh season as a pro, he's completed two full campaigns, but just ten appearances in the remaining five.

Tellingly though, those two seasons of 40+ appearances saw Wolves make the play off's, and include his man of the match performance that glorious day in Cardiff in 2003.

aving worked himself into contention for the England squad in 2007, it's not surprising that McCarthy is taking a softly softly approach with his rehabilitation from cruciate ligament surgery.

No one doubts what he is capable of when fit. It's that word when that is the worry.

Get better soon Matt.
