'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfer news

There was plenty of action at Molineux this weekend, with Mick McCarthy's men completing their pre season build up on style, and a couple of unanswered questions finally getting their response.

THere is good news, with Michael Gray ending speculation over his future, signing a new one year deal.

'Even though my contract was up, I always felt a part of things since we got back at the beginning of July,'

'I'm really up and excited about the new season because we have a great squad of players here who are a pleasure to work with. ' he told the clubs official website.

One of the teams longest serving members, Rob Edwards' future looks far less secure, and despite being handed a squad number today, is resigned to the fact that it's time to move on.

At 26, there's still plenty of years left in the Wales international, with Blackpool having already made enquiries.

Good luck Rob for the future Rob, wherever you end up.

Ian Harte has done enough in Mick McCarthy's eyes to earn the offer of a short term deal, although it remains to be seen whether he accepts it.

And another player definitely moving on is Jay Bothroyd, who seems to have finally 'weighed up his options' and opted for Dave Jones' Cardiff.

Congratulations also go to Terry Connor, now promoted to assistant manager, with Taff Evans moving into the scouting set up.
