'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Harte

So Ian Harte doesn't think the deal offered by Mick McCarthy is good enough.

A former International of 64 caps experience probably thinks he's better than the mooted month to month dealon offer, but there was also the carrot of a longer term option if he came up with the goods often enough.

Jody Craddock and Michael Gray both earned contract extensions last year, despite being older than Harte.

But at the end of the day, if he doesn't have the stomach for a fight, what can you do?
