Rob moves on
Rob Edwards has finalised his move to Blackpool, signing a 2 year deal for an undisclosed sum.
One of Dave Jones last signings, Rob joined Wolves from Villa, but has seen his time at Molineux blighted by a series of injuries that has seen him fall down the pecking order in Mick McCarthy's side.
Originally signed as a right back, Rob proved his versatility, making the transition to centreback smoothly, to the extent that many fans forgot that he used to BE a fullback when he was required to play their under McCarthy.
Under the Yorkshireman he formed half of a succesful, and critically acclaimed pairing in the middle of defence with Neill Collins, until one of the aforementioned injuries split them up, and the wind changed, causing some fans to decide that he wasn't the messiah anymore, just a bit rubbish.
Not the first time that's happened.
Regardless, he was always a player who gave 100% commitment to the club, always had time to talk to fans, and never sulked when not picked.
Maybe that's where he went wrong.
Good luck for the future Rob, hope you enjoy the seaside.
