Franek Awarded 'Oscar'

Tomasz Frankowski has been crowned Polish Player Of The Year.

The award, made live on tv channel Canal+ last night is in recognition of his achievments last year. He polled 40% of the votes.

Previously, Franek had been voted Striker Of The Year and he sees this new accolade as a step upward, and forward in his career.

He has yet to open his account with Wolves, but with the renewed confidence his recognition is sure to give him, it can now only be a matter of time before his name is on the scoresheet.

Speaking after the awards, a very happy Frankowski said,

'I'm very happy to win this award, especially when I look at the names of the other players who were also nominated.

'But this award is for what happened last year and now I'm thinking about what I can do in the future.

'I have to show the manager at Wolves I have good form and then I'll be able to show the supporters what I can do.'
