Emergency Ward 23

Wolves Boss Mick McCarthy has had an about turn on the future of defender Darren Ward following his contribution at the weekend.

The man accused by some of only picking favourites, and being too stubborn to change has revealed that after much deliberation, and a positive display against Ipswich, Ward will now be taken off the transfer list.

'Darren deserves a special mention because having been on the list his attitude has been great.

'He wants to stay here and play and today he came on and did well.

'I'd thought about taking him off the list before the game and as far as I'm concerned I will do.

'He has kept his calm and professionalism all along.' he told the clubs official site after the win which has extended Wolves unbeaten run to four.
