'If It's Football, It's Vital'

MUST Win!

Glenn Hoddle is forthright in his opinion on Saturdays home clash with promotion rivals Cardiff.

'We've got to win against Cardiff, simple as that,' said Hoddle.

Easier said than done, following their lacklustre midweek performance, something that hasnt escaped Hoddle.

'But we won't do it playing like we did against Stoke.' he added. 'Quite frankly, we didn't deserve more than a point because of the way we performed.'

'It wasn't good enough and I don't know where it came from because we've been in a half-decent run and haven't lost in six games.'

Wether Wolves have been papering over the cracks of late in putting together that run, or suffered a blip in form that they can easily correct is the subject of much heated debate.

But the one thing that everybody, even Hoddle, agrees on, is that Wolves missed a golden opportunity to put some real pressure on Preston Tuesday night.

'It's disappointing in the sense that there was a chance to gain some points on people and with Preston drawing it would have been a nice advantage if we had won.' he said

'As it is, all that has happened is another game is chalked off and another opportunity to get three points has gone. But Saturday comes around quickly, and we've got to pick ourselves up.'

And pick up the fans who left in droves against Stoke with 10 minutes still left on the clock.
