'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mick lashes out

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has dished out his angriest rebuke yet at the people who still believe that they pay their money, and so are entitled to boo the team they claim to support.

'I_don`t care who they are or what they`ve done - but do not boo any player in a gold shirt. These are your players. It doesn`t help so stay away. I`m not having it.' he said following the heckling Andy Keogh endured during the weekends 2-1 win against Coventry.

Wishful thinking on McCarthy's part.

There are, and always have been a section of the crowd that has to have it's scapegoat.

It's nothing new, it's been going on for years.

The surprising thing is it is still happening despite the club sit top of the Coca-Cola Championship.

They will tell you it helps. Of how the abuse Paul Butler suffered did him some good. They will say the same of Jody Craddock.

Laughable, if it wasn't for the fact that their statements contain not an ounce of irony.

Will they stay away?

No.

Will they stop booing?

No.

Will they ever change?

What do you think?

Must admit when he hit a last minute winner against us (QPR) last season he was getting stick throughout the game from the fans above us (only thing I heard from them to be honest!) and when he scored, yes the place went beserk, but those morons who were booing him were all singing along. He's a quality player and he deserves better than these minority of morons. Not to say you're all like that, most of you are....well OK.. :D

There shouldn't be any need for boo boys after tonight. Back on top and with a fantastic record of 31 points from 31 goals!! Just keep scoring the goals Wolves and you could get back into the top flight. Now is maybe the time for cheering together!
