Ince To Play On?

Paul Ince has given his clearest indication yet that he is prepared to put off hanging his boots up for at least one, and possibly 2 seasons.

It had been believed that this would be Inces final hurrah, one last year to propel Wolves back in the topflight, but after a thigh muscle injury kept in out of the side for a majority of this season, thinngs are now not looking quiteso black and white.

The decision depends on Glenn Hoddle's closed season recommendations to the Wolves Board, but it's believed that Hoddle is keen to keep Inces presence in the dressing room, where his influence is undeniable.

Today though, Ince is putting all thoughts of another campaign behind him, to concentrate on gaining promotion this year. Ironically, the one thing that could force him into quitting the game.

“Now we're in sixth place, psychologically it could work for us,” said Ince.

“We've seen how teams react under pressure — even Sheffield United are having a little wobble and Preston have drawn a second game in two weeks.

“Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we're there because Preston have got games in hand.

“But if you've got belief it makes you stronger as a team and a club and hopefully we'll prove that in the weeks to come.'

With an Incey weanie bit of luck you might not want him if you should end up in the Prem...but if not give him another year. He has given you more than that.
