'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is he, isn't he?

The inevetable tidal wave of speculation surrounding the possible signing of Rangers Alan Gow rolled on today.

True, in this case, it has been lent credence by the words of Rangers boss Walter Smith who has been widely reported as saying

'The clubs have agreed a fee for the player and Alan and his representatives have gone to speak to Wolves.

'As long as they reach agreement, the move will be finalised in due course but they have to talk first.'

So that would appear to be that, although more than one deal has floundered once it gets down to the nitty gritty of personal terms.

In reality though, it now looks highly likely that Gow will be unveilled as the latest player to join McCarthy's men by the end of the week and bolster an already impressive attacking line up into the bargain.

Fingers crossed
