Shock recall

Darren Potters persistence may have been rewarded by manager Mick McCarth with a recall to the first team squad this weekend.

McCarthy has revealed that Potter was due to start against Birmingham before the Blues haidryers failed to melt an unseason like frost last weekend.

'Potts would have played, because it comes to a stage where if people don't get games, they don't get battle-hardened,' Mick explained.

'It's the case that Potts is still available but I shall still play him because he's still one of our players and he has been brilliant - a model pro' He told the club's official site.

It would complete a remarkable turnaround for a player transfer listed last May who chose to stick it out at Wolves and fight for a first team place.
