The Premier League`s top three clubs - Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea - are all well represented, but there`s still five days of voting to go.
Voting for this month`s award closes at midnight on January 31. Fans can vote for their player of the month at: http://fansaward.givemefootball.com/vote?pid=75&cid=10199
The likes of Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo and Frank Lampard are no strangers to the PFA`s monthly and annual awards, and they are all up there scrapping for the latest honours.
Gerrard continues to be an inspiration for Liverpool who have just been overtaken in the race for the Premiership title by United, thanks largely to the efforts of Giggs and Ronaldo.
But don`t rule Chelsea out of the running just yet, and fully expect Lampard to again step up to the plate in the absence of midfield pal Joe Cole who has been ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury.
In the Championship, the top two clubs - Wolves and Reading - and the division`s top two goalscorers - Kevin Doyle and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - are leading the way.
Doyle has struck 17 goals for Reading so far this season and they are now hot on the heels of leaders Wolves, for whom 16-goal Ebanks-Blake is the major threat.
Swansea`s Jason Scotland is not far behind in the goal stakes and his 12 goals thus far have helped keep the Welsh club in the hunt for a play-off place. Lee Grant of Sheffield Wednesday is also among the contenders for the fans` player award as the Owls too look for a top six finish.
Fabien Delph continues to win many admirers in League One, and he was on target in Leeds` recent win over Brighton just days after the Yorkshire club said they have rejected overtures from a couple of Premier League clubs.
December winner Neil Harris of Millwall is again in the hunt, as is reigning League Two Fans` Player of the Month in League Two, Luke O`Brien of Bradford.
