'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Guv'nor : One Game At A Time

Wolves Captain Paul Ince has called for everyone to stop looking too far forward in Wolves attempts to gatecrash the play offs.

A crushing defeat to lowly placed Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday looked to have ended their promotion dream, but other results have left them still with a glimmer of hope.

But The Guv'nor wants the last 6 games taken 90 minutes at a time. Speaking to the Birmingham Post he said

'Once the final whistle went we thought we were out of it but what we have done is missed another chance to capitalise. Having said that, in my opinion we've got to stop talking about the play-offs. We've just got to take things game by game and try and win as many as we can.

'All the play-off talk is maybe putting the pressure on. We just need to go out there and play our football. It's a sad indictment when a club like Wolves have to worry about what Preston and Cardiff are doing.'

Lifting the teams heads after another game where Wolves dominated and had chances, but were denied by a superb visiting goalkeeper's display, and beaten by their own mistakes will not be easy.

But Ince has been there before, and if there was one player you'd want in the dressing room right now, it would be him.

'We've just got to get back in this week and regroup and get a buzz around the place. It's no good coming in and thinking about what might have been.

'We have to lift our heads and look towards getting three points at Plymouth because that's not going to be easy.'
