Jackie Mac Not Going Back.......Yet

Former Celtic Captain Jackie McNamara has spoken out to pour cold water on rumours of an imminent return to Parkhead.

Wolves signed JackieMac on a surprise free transfer last Summer, but he has been forced to sit out the last 6 months following cruciate kneee ligament surgery.

The source appears to be the sscotissh Daily Recoed who quoted a source at Celtic, allegedly close to Jackie as saying :

'All of the things that were said between Jackie and people at Celtic last summer are well in the past and both parties have patched things up.

'The ball is in Celtic's court, but Gordon Strachan will know the value of bringing back someone who's still a fantastic player and who will benefit the likes of young Mark Wilson.'

In reponse Jackie has been forced to release a statement through the club to put fans, and his employers, minds at rest.

'I have just bought a house in the area and last night I was pleased to be able to play my first 90 minutes for the reserves,' said the Scots Internatinal earlier today

'I have got a contract at Wolves for another season and I am concentrating on getting back to full fitness and hopefully playing some part in helping Wolves to try and win promotion.'

The club also deny any contact from

unfermline or Hibernian regarding the possible sale of the influential defender.
