Franek Frustrated

The arrival of Tomasz Frankowski at Molineux wa heralded as the final piece in Glenn Hoddle's jigsaw. And with a career average of a goal every two games, it's easy to understand why.

But so far Franek has failed to find the net in ten outings for the Molineux men, although that's not to say he has'nt had an impact.

Many, including Hoddle, have been impressed with his link up play, particularly with Jeremie Aliadiere.

He has had a hand in at least three goals since his arrival, and earned Wolves a much needed penalty, proving their is more to his overall game than merely scoring goals.

But it is in a strikers nature to see their name missing from the scoresheet as a failure, even if that view isnt shared by the manager.

'Tomasz is a little bit frustrated because he has scored a lot of goals throughout his career and now he's arrived here they've dried up,' Hoddle told the Birmingham Post

'But I'm very pleased with his all-round play and he just needs a break and a goal to get him on his way, just like any striker.' he added.

Franek may find himself relegated to the bench on Saturday as Hoddle looks to bolster his sides physical presence up front, and for defending Plymouth Argyle's set pieces.

But an appearance late on, on a heavy pitch against tired legs might, might just provide Frankowski with an edge, as he looks to open his Wanderers account.

And with matches running out in an already disapointing campaign, that would suit manager Glenn Hoddle just fine.
