Vital Wolves: How many new players do we need?

"That`s up to the gaffer.' - Michael Kightly

HOW many players do you think Wolves need to sign in a bid to survive in the Premier League next season?

This seasons Premier League campaign was the closest and most competitive in years. With half the division looking over their shoulders well into the new year.

Established big clubs Newcastle and Boro were relegated to the Championship along with West Brom (shame).

With Stoke and Hull surviving their first full seasons in the Premier League this year, ourselves Birmingham and Burnley should remain confident that survival is possible.

"We all know though we do need a bit more experience and a bit more quality to help us get through," Kightly told the Express & Star.

"But competition always helps and it`s always healthy. When you haven`t got that competition you can get a bit stale sometimes.

"But I think we`ve had that all the time since I`ve been here anyway."

Vital Comment: The time when sides had to completely rebuild their squads to survive in the Premier League has gone. Let's avoid signing the merry-go round players who jump from relegated side to relegated side. Sign some quality young players and the odd old head with top flight experience and give the lads who got us into the Premier League the chance to impress.
