Vital Wolves: Bolton bid for Spurs Huddlestone

Wolves not prepared to bid £6 million for Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone - Various reports

WHEELER dealer Harry Redknapp is looking to cash in on some of his players, with Huddlestone reportedly on the way out of White Hart Lane for a fee of around £6million.

Mick McCarthy isn't willing to match that price tag, however Bolton are according to reports.

Vital Wolves Comment: Chalk this one up to silly season, Bolton have also been linked with Manchester United's Paul Scholes over the last few days.

Levy wont let Thudd go for less than £10million. He is a fantastic playmaker. If he was more mobile he would be worth something like £25-30million.

I actually think £6m would be enough to take him. He'll never be mobile enough for us in a 4 man midfield and Harry needs to raise funds, so regrettably I think he can go...

He wont go for £10million. He is a great passer and good vision. but in the EPL u need to be fast, or control the game at your own pace. Huddlestone does not command the ball/game enough, and his pace lets him down. He actually needs to play higher up the pitch instead of so far back. get more shots in, control the game further up frield.

We should make a bid.

Welshyido what are you talking about? 25million :) Don't want him to leave particularly as i see him as a big player in our near future. I however have great trust in 'Arry so what happens happens

Hello to all the Spurs fans who have popped in! Hypothetically I`d like to see him in a Wolves shirt, sometimes has great vision on the ball to find the pass and has thunderbolt strike.

Hudd lays on more balls than Ulrika Johnson

Whoever buys Huddlestone is getting a diamond in the rough. He needs to play week-in-week-out to really get the best out of him. He made giant steps under Ramos then came back for the new season with a majority of the weight he lost back. I'd like him to stay at the Lane but he won't get the matches he needs and I cannot see him doing what is necessary to make that step. There isn't anyone in the Premiership who has the passing ability of Huddlestone. If he worked on the aspects of his game that needs improving: positional sense, tackling and improving his speed, he would be phenomenal.

Hello there Wolves! Hudds is a player with a great pass on him and a powerful shot, he's also capable of filling in at centre half in an emergency if needed, but box to box he is not and never will be. I reckon 6m + a few add-ons would take him off our hands. While it's always sad to lose players who clearly have quality to contribute, I don't feel he's the right CM for the way our manager wants us to play, so I hope wherever he goes he can do alright for himself and the club. (But if you can't afford a £6m price-tag, he won't be joining your lot I'm afraid). I really don't know enough about your squad to comment whether he's right for you, but he has his moments I suppose, just not a world-beater at Premier League level.
