Vital Wolves: Nenad Milijas chooses Wolves

WOLVES are reportedly set to sign Red Star Belgrade midfielder Nenad Milijas according to several reports in the media.

The 26-year-old Serbian midfielder is currently Red Star's club captain but is looking to move this summer.

Milijas' agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, previously claimed that an offer has been made by Wolves: 'We received a €3million offer from Wolves. They are asking for Milijas to have medical checks as soon as possible.' He told Sky Sports.

But Borussia Monchengladbach remain the favourites to sign him, with the agent adding: 'everything will wait until we see what we will do with Borussia.'

Panathinaikos, Roma, CSKA Moscow and Borussia Dortmund had also all been linked with the player. But now Milijas' agent believes he is set to join Wolves.

'We're very close to sealing the deal with Wolverhampton, Milijas took his time to decide where are the best conditions to play and to live - and that's England.' the agent said.

Vital Wolves Comment: Still not convinced that this just isn't the agent trying to create more interest in his client.

It would be a tremendous acquisition if we were to sign Milijas - who is a free scoring midfielder in the mould of Lampard.

Have to admit, I have not seen him for myself, but I have heard good things. I'm just never certain when the agent gets so much press time, to promote his client.
