Man Utd trio transfer listed

Gibson, who impressed in midfield in United's Carling Cup run last term is attracting attention from newly-promoted Wolves. - Daily Mirror

SIR Alex Ferguson has placed Frazier Campbell, Danny Simpson and Darron Gibson on the transfer list.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Fergie wants to raise around £10 million for the trio.

The very same article reveals that Frazier Campbell with only one year on his contract, could leave Old Trafford for £5 million. With Hull City the predictable destination for the English striker, while Danny Simpson is rated at £1 million with Birmingham and Newcastle showing an early interest.

By my maths, worthy of a GCSE grade C many moons ago, that ranks Darron Gibson at £4 million. A fairly hefty price tag for the 21 year old Republic of Ireland International.

Gibson is well known to Wolves fans following his loan spell at Molineux last season, where he made over 20 appearances during a 8 month loan spell.

He ended this seasons campaign with his first Manchester United goal, to claim all three points for the Premier League champions against Hull, who narrowly avoided relegation thanks to Aston Villa's win over Newcastle.

Im surprised that Gibson has been listed as he looked to have a future there.
