Vital Wolves: Hull take lead in race for Fortune

Marc-Antoine Fortune is a player we're interested in - Phil Brown

HULL CITY have jumped the queue in the race to land Nancy's Marc-Antoine Fortune according to various reports on the internet.

Fortune joined WBA on loan in January and helped them to their relegation from the Premier League last season (shame).

As part of that very successful loan spell, Albion have a previously agreed fee of £1.5million as part the initial loan spell with the French club.

With Tony Mowbray jumping ship (and who can blame him) to Celtic, the Scottish losers in the SPL are also likely to want to sign him.

While Wolves are also monitoring the situation for the 27-year-old who scored 5 goals in 17 games in the Premier League last season.

But it is Hull who now appear to be favourites, 'Marc-Antoine Fortune is a player we're interested in,' Phil Brown said to the Daily Mail.

'We have discussed terms with his club and I would say we're probably one of three serious contenders.

Vital Wolves Comment: Oh well, they can have him to be honest.
