Vital Wolves: Season starts with West Ham

The Premier League fixtures have now come out, time for that promotion to finally start sinking in!

Trips to Old Trafford and Anfield, Stamford Bridge and Highbury or whatever their new fandango stadium is called.

The fixtures computer appears to have been nice to us this season, easing us in with games against the mid-table sides from last year.

We're not allowed to actually discuss who and when we are playing teams due to copyright law, Stephen Ward has spoken to the official site though and he said 'I think December is the only month where we play the 'big four' within a couple of weeks of each other, so that's worked out quite well.'

Not sure who Ward thinks are the 'top four' as we play Arsenal and Chelsea back to back in November. But he went on to add 'If we can hang in there and do as well as we can and pick up points from the start, it's probably as kind a run as we could have hoped for.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Certainly points to be taken in the first month of the season. 6 points from our opening 4 games would ease us in nicely.

I think Wolves need to be planning to start off with a win. Hull proved last season that any Premiership team can be beaten if you go at them. The worst thing would be a cautious start and relegation places at Xmas. The season is only 38 games. 40 points needed. Newbies must aim to get at least 25 points by Xmas before the injuries and suspensions start to drag you down. I wish you well.
