WOLVES Chief Executive Jez Moxey has told the official site, that new signing Marcus Hahnemann will add experience to the side and battle for the number one jersey (American term!) with Wayne Hennessey and Carl Ikeme.

The American goaltender, joined the club on a free transfer from Reading and Jez was excited about the sides latest capture.

'We have talked about Premier League experience which is something Mick has identified in potential signings and we knew it would be difficult to get.

'With an excellent record at Reading, Marcus fits that criteria. He's a very good goalkeeper who will be challenging Wayne Hennessey and Carl Ikeme directly for the number one spot.' He told the official site.

'Regardless of who is playing, he will be a good mentor for our three goalkeepers because he's of excellent character and has plenty of experience.

Vital Wolves Comment: Experience and Premier League knowledge will be an advantage. Nagging doubt that it is unfair on Wayne, but it's done now and he will just have to fight for that jersey to become the franchises number one goaltender. Ahem.
