Vital Wolves: Fortune Trail Ends

Wolverhampton Wanderers have cooled their interest in signing Marc Antoine-Fortune from Nancy. - The Times

WOLVES appear to have ended their interest in Nancy's Marc-Antoine Fortune according to various reports on the internet.

Fortune spent last season with WBA on loan after joining them in January. He went on to help them to their relegation from the Premier League last season (shame).

As part of that very successful loan spell, Albion have a previously agreed fee of £1.5million as part the initial loan spell with the French club.

With Tony Mowbray jumping ship (and who can blame him) to Celtic, the Scottish losers in the SPL are also likely to want to sign him.

While Wolves were reportedly monitoring the situation for the 27-year-old who scored 5 goals in 17 games in the Premier League last season.

But over the past few days, Hull now appear to be favourites and Wolves have since cooled their interest.

Vital Wolves Comment: Last time we cooled our interest in a midfielder within days we signed Nenad Milijaš. Perhaps this indicates that we could be close to signing a new striker?
