NEWCASTLE UNITED are set to sell Kevin Nolan on the cheap following their relegation from the Premier League.
The People believe McCarthy is set for a bargain swoop of just £ 2million to bring Nolan to Molineux.
The 26-year-old only joined Newcastle in January for double that price, playing 11 games during that period.
Nolan was once highly tipped for an England role, but with an embarrassment of riches (most of which are unable to play with each other), Nolan is yet to claim his first cap.
Vital Wolves Comment: My type of signing.
Hard in the tackle, could act as a holding player to enable Nenad Milijaš to get forward while he sits back. Perhaps not his natural game, but alongside Milijaš it could work.
Personally think these two could be a perfect partnership in the centre of the pitch.
