WOLVES are set to smash our transfer record to sign Reading striker Kevin Doyle for £6.5million later today.
Fans have been calling for the club to splash the cash and that is certainly the case with the signing of Republic of Ireland international on a three-year deal.
Wolves have held off competition from Sunderland, Bolton and Fulham.
Doyle is set to be officially unveiled with the traditional shirt holding photo later on today.
Vital Wolves Comment: Huge show of intent to pull off this signing. Fighting off competition from a club that can offer European football is a show of intent that we will spend big on the right player.
