Vital Wolves: Wolves continue to spend

Vital Wolves believe that Andrew Surman is set to leave Southampton imminently following the collapse of Southampton's takeover.

WOLVES appear to be the favourites to sign the midfielder for a fee of around 1 million, but Fulham have also shown an interest in the former Walsall man.

If Surman comes to Molineux it will further add to the statement of intent shown yesterday with the signing of Kevin Doyle from Reading.

The spending spree is now close to 10 million and further signings should follow, as Mick McCarthy is believed to want to bolster the defence.
