'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hoddle Won't Quit

Glenn Hoddle has issued a message to those that would wish him ill, and stated his desire to remain in the Molineux hotseat.

I've got a 12-month rolling contract and I want to stay.' he said yesterday.

No one could call his first full season in charge at Wolves a success, but if he is going to leave the club, it will not be his own hand, and no-one elses.

And he wants it made clear that his decision wasnt dependant on a Premiership style transfer budget.

At the end of the season we'll sit down as a club and look at how to move forward.'

I'm happy here and I'll work, whatever the constraints. I got Swindon up with no money."he added.

ike it or not, it seems in his own mind, and for the immediate future at least, Glenn Hoddle is here to stay.

When the Wolves Board appointed him, it was a crucial decision, that always had to be long term for the good of the club.

Which may seem an anathema to those paying to get inside the Golden Palace used to watching a steady turnover of managers in a bid, ultimately in vain, to establish Wolverhampton Wanderers as a Premiership force.

And for a club with relatively little left to spend, and a batch of talented youngsters waiting out in the wings, Wolves could do a lot worse than entrust their future to the former England man.

Mick McCarthy : ' Do you call that an excuse?'

Roy Keane : ' Do you call what you've got a first touch?

We know who we at Vital Wolves prefer.

He's a very set in his ways type man. The only way he'll go is to be sacked IMHO.
