WOLVES have invited former Celtic defender Bobo Balde to join up with the squad for our Australian tour.

The 33-year-old, was a target for Mick McCarthy last season, however his wages proved to be a stumbling block.

But now as a free agent, Balde could be set to join the club, however as ever Mick will face competition from Birmingham and Burnley for the experienced Guinea international.

Vital Wolves Comment: We`ve been crying out for experience and this man has it. Wouldn`t be convinced if he was the only defender we signed to strengthen at the back, but following the previous two signings of Halford and Zubar. I think Balde could be a great addition to strengthen th depth of the back line. What do you think? Let us know on the forum!

Rivals Network Closes

The original network for football fan sites rivals.net has closed down.

Over the past couple of years the network has been in decline, with many pointing fingers towards the recent takeover by Sky. But now news has come to us that the network has been taken offline. Leaving many football fans homeless.

However with news and views, along with message boards, polls and article comments, everything you need in a fans site is right here and Vital Wolves welcomes you all!

You can even win prizes, just by voicing your opinion on the articles comments, having a laugh on message forums and voting on the polls.

As the Vital motto goes, we are by the fans, for the fans and we are 100% interactive! So get involved! As well as having your say on the articles and the forums, you can also get your view published by suggesting an article or a poll!

We don`t mind what the topic is, as long as it is loosely related to Wolverhampton and isn`t libellous or offensive. We will always do our best to publish your work as long as it is suitable!

bobo's gonna get ye....stong and intimidating wins 99% of his headers...the only reason he hasnt played for a while is that gordon strachan didnt want him because he was one of martin o neills main men so strachan treated him like crap and when he refused to leave made him train with the under 17s....a vast majority of celtic fans would of had him playing last year instead of the other centre backs..does a few dodgy runs now and then but good tackler and headerer of the ball and will crunch a few of the poncy centre forwards you have in the premiership...the fans will love his no nonsense style of tackling...
