Vital Wolves: Have we made a move for Amr Zaki?

Zaki is desperate to stay in the Barclays Premier League, and his agent claims one of the promoted clubs have made an offer, though he would not identify whether it was Birmingham City, Burnley or Wolverhampton Wanderers. - Daily Mail

WOLVES are one of three clubs who may or may not have made a move to sign former Wigan striker Amr Zaki according to his agent, reports the Daily Mail.

Last season the 26-year-old was in fine form when he first made his move to the Premier League.

The Egyptian joined Wigan on loan from Cairo club, El Zamalek last season and fired in 8 goals in his first 10 appearances.

However a big money move to Aston Villa distracted Zaki and his form dipped when his potential £11 million move to Villa collapsed.

French club Grenoble are also reportedly interested in Zaki, however his agent Nader Shawqi said: 'About the future, I can`t name any clubs for the time being but I can confirm that two French clubs offered to sign Zaki. We have an offer from one of the promoted clubs in the Premier League too.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Troublesome character but awesome in front of goal when he wants to be.

Worth a gamble?
