Vital Wolves: Deal not done for Chelsea star

McCarthy cautioned fans against thinking a deal was already done for Mancienne - Express & Star

WOLVES boss Mick McCarthy has told supporters that a deal for Chelsea defender Mancienne has not been agreed.

Wolves fans expected news of Mancienne's return to Molineux shortly after Carlo Ancelotti was named as the latest manager through the revolving door at Stamford Bridge.

Internet reports had suggested that Mancienne could make the permanent switch for around 4million, or a season long loan deal.

But McCarthy has moved to rubbish those reports. "He is a good lad and I`ve asked the question but it`s not down to us.' He told the Express & Star.

"I would have taken him at the drop of a hat and still would, but it`s down to Chelsea."

Vital Wolves Comment: We all know what we think about Mancienne after his recent loan spell at the club, so Chelsea fans, what do you think of one of the few gems to come through your academy in recent years?
