WOLVES are in the running to sign 26-year-old giant Marc Janko.

The Austrian who is 6ft 5in tall scored 39 goals in 34 games last season Red Bull Salzburg and Wolves officials are set to be in the crowd to have a closer look at the striker against Bohemians in the Champions League qualifier on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately we appear to have competition from Fulham, Wigan, Blackburn and Sunderland, which could quickly price us out of the running.

Vital Wolves Comment: Now this would be a signing. I doubt we`d hear many complaints that a front-line was lacking in power if we signed Janko!

Not Wigan,we looked at him in January but he was deemed too expensive, £7 mil I seem to remember. Looks a good 'un though, you have him and we'll take McCarthy....deal?

I assume you mean James rather than Mick, if so you have a deal!

No you can keep Mick, he's too old for our back 4...just, yep I mean James McCarthy, he looks a very promising player.
