Vital Wolves: Friendly win over Crewe

All is right in the world again as Wolves ran out winners against a lower league side in our latest friendly.

Following rubbish results at Bristol City and Milton Keynes it was getting difficult to think of anything new to add to the debate of pointless pre-season games.

Scott Malone picked up the only goal of the game against Crewe if you are taking notes at the back.

We also had some players on trial in the form of Zoltan Szeiesi and Jimmy Keohane.

Zoltan Szeiesi has 28 caps for Hungary (see I knew you`d be impressed).

Wolves team according to WOW: Hahnemann, Szeiesi, Shackell, D. Jones (Davis 32), Balde, D. Ward, Mendez-Laing (Keohane 84), Collins, Hemmings, K. Bennett (Rooney 77), Malone (capt).

Vital Wolves Comment: Good news for anyone mad enough to go to the remaining pre-season games, McCarthy is planning to finally settle on a team as the count down to the Premier League continues, so you may be in for more of a match than a live training session.
