The Big Kick Off - Just One Week Away

The Big Kick Off - Just One Week Away

The Premier League season is now just one week away

A summer of celebrating our promotion back to the Premier League and launching Vital Wolves has certainly helped pass the time!

I may have moaned during pre-season, the Australia tour was obviously one low point. That trip was never anything to do with preparing us for life in the Premier League.

While poor performances against Bristol City, Milton Keynes, Doncaster etc only helped to prove that pre-season is pointless for the fans! It's a training exercise! We shouldn't have to pay for that type of so called entertainment!

Then we beat Scunthorpe and all is right in the world and we're ready for the Premier League - give it up, it's a friendly!

Saturday at the Molineux though obviously has that something a bit different about it, in the form of Spanish side Valladolid.

I'm well aware I'm contradicting myself here, yes, it's still a pointless pre-season friendly. But at least it has some intrigue and offers something a bit different?

But then once that final whistle blows, we will be within one week of the big kick off against West Ham United.

Are you excited or nervous? Me, I'm excited, back in the Premier League! Yes we should have signed more experienced players. Lots of our lads have not got that experience of the Premier League which all the pundits believe we need, but hopefully it won't be too much of a shock to the system for our young talented squad!

Best of luck to all you Wolves fans. Really hope you manage to avoid relegation first season. A start of beating WetSpam would be good!
