No arse-licking with Wolves

Record signing Kevin Doyle has given an interview to the Guardian ahead of the new Premier League season

The £6.5million striker has revealed that he simply went with his gut feeling when he made his move to Wolves. The Reading striker had various option open to him and Doyle when asked why he opted for Wolves said: 'How do you make up your mind? You go with your gut feeling and everything here I think is set up for this to be a great club, it just needs to take off.'

Doyle continued by explaining that with the fan base Wolves have, the potential is there for the club to be successful.

Basically saying all the right things that a new signing ahead of a new Premier League season says.

Doyle also added during his Guardian Interview: 'Straightaway he said to me that there was 'No nicey nicey, messing about.' During the discussions for joining the club. Simply: 'a great conversation, a good chat and that was it. He was straight to the point. There was no arse-licking in that sense.'

Vital Wolves Comment: I think Doyle will prove to be a good signing for us. 18 goals last season is a good haul. If he can push that many again this term, with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake matching him. That will give us a chance of survival.
