Wolves and Pompey do battle

According to reports in the national papers, we are interested in stealing a Portsmouth target, right from under their noses.

Modeste M`Bami has been on trial at Portsmouth for the past month, but due to their takeover dragging on, he is yet to learn whether he has done enough to earn a contract.

Due to the waiting, that has given Wolves a chance to come in and poach him, although Bolton have also shown an interest according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspapers article does get confusing though, as it appears to contradict itself.

It firstly suggests that the 26-year-old Cameroon international could now come to Molineux on loan, but then states he is a free agent following his recent departure from Marseille?

Vital Wolves Comment: Oldgold writes:

Rumours have it that this fella who I think is a Cameroon international midfielder currently at PSG, or is it Marseille, anyway, somewhere decent in France is coming to/at Molineux for a trial.

Could be worth a punt, and probably the only other person who could speak to Zubar with a chance of him understanding...I mean can any of you imagine that Mick can be understood in French?

I don't think there'll be much of a battle! Paul Hart has already come out and said we won't be offering him a contract. He looked promising me to though...
