Vital Wolves: Murray returns to training

Knee injuries have plagued Matt Murray over the past year, however touch wood, he could be about to put the worst behind him

The 28-year-old was back in light training yesterday following his patella tendon reconstruction back in November.

He is now hoping to be involved in reserve team matches in around 6 weeks time. "I`ve been on the rower and the bike, but I started running yesterday for the first time.' Murray told the Express & Star.

"Fingers crossed, I`ll be out training with the boys in four to six weeks. Then I`ll see about playing reserve games."

Vital Wolves Comment: No need to trivialise this with a silly comment. It's great news and we all wish him well!

More good news - Matty is a great talent! If not for injuries he'd be a "Big 4" starting keeper with caps galore...! Good luck Matty ;-)
