'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Premier League Review

So the Premier League has started and Wolves are off the bottom of the table!

It may have only been alphabetical order during the summer, but that Vital Football league table has been staring at me throughout July and August, so for us to be up to 19th does bring some comfort following the opening day defeat.

Wolves of course lost to West Ham, the 2-0 defeat left us 20th come 5pm, but following the spanking Arsenal handed Everton in the evening kick off, Everton now prop up the table after losing 6-1.

Fabregas would have been your ideal captain in any Fantasy League competition as the Spaniard picked up a couple of goals in the romp.

Wigan our opponents on Tuesday also enjoyed an away win over Aston Villa. Goals in both halfs bringing the three points against free falling Villa.

Champions Manchester United brushed aside Birmingham with Wayne Rooney banging the goal.

Champions elect for many months last season Liverpool are already on the back foot as they lost to Spurs, while Chelsea used their get out of jail free card against Hull to net a late winner after falling behind.

Free spending Manchester City picked up an away win at Blackburn Rovers, Adebayor scoring on his debut.

As did Twitterer Darren Bent as his new side Sunderland beat Bolton with Bent's single goal of the game.

Our round-up finishes with Fulham beating Portsmouth and Stoke defeating Burnley.
