Wolves were dealt a massive blow six months back when news broke that Jackie McNamara would require extensive cruciate knee ligament surgery.
But now, after several reserve outings Jackie looks set to return to action for the first team.
""We'll see how Jackie trains up to the weekend and then make a decision. But he's got a strong chance of being involved." Glenn Hoddle said today.
The loss of the influential presence of the former Celtic captain did nothing to help Wolves promotion campaign, and news of his return will come as a real shot in the arm for Wolves fans everywhere.
As they look to next season for a vast improvement of fortunes, seeing Jackie's name on the teamsheet will be a start.
