Vital Wolves: McCarthy likes Stoke man

Amdy Faye could be making the switch from Stoke to Wolves, following Mick McCarthy declaring his interest in the 32-year-old.

The link comes from the Express & Star and they believe that he could provide good cover for Henry.

The Senegal international has been out of action since the end of last season with a back injury, before the operation he was a regular in the side, but has now missed pre-season and isn`t likely to feature any time soon, in what is his last contracted year at Stoke.

Vital Wolves Comment: Due to his age and his contract running down any fee would be small. His current fitness is a concern, but we`ve been calling for experience and someone to add some steal to the side, so shouldn`t be too fussy!
