McCarthy pleased with start

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is pleased with three points from three games following our start against West Ham, Wigan and Manchester City.

When the fixture list came out, we all did the usual summer pastime of looking through the fixtures, working out where points could be won.

We ourselves at Vital Wolves were just as guilty and we honestly believed that 4 points was realistic.

To confess we thought we`d take the points against West Ham, claim a point against Wigan and lose to Manchester City.

So overall, having three points is good going after the defeat on the opening day to West Ham and Mick appears to agree with us! 'I'm not sure how many points we were expected to have got at this stage but to have got three, I'm pleased enough.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

With one eye on the next Premier League match against Hull on Saturday, Mick added: 'Ask me again after Hull at home - although if you end up taking a point a game I think that's a good start. We're probably one point short of what would have been an unbelievably good total.'
