Wolves need pens to see off Swindon

Well we're through and in the grand scheme of things, that is all that really matters.

Mick fielded a team that really should have been able to finish off Swindon within 90 mins, or even 120 mins as the game went goalless straight through to penalties, where all of a sudden all the players discovered where the net was.

The match finishing 6-5 on pens Swindon captain Gordon Greer hitting the post during sudden death.

'For those that are hoping to play in the Premier League the time on the pitch will have done them well.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website after the game.

'The penalties were fantastic from both sides and I thought it was never going to end!

'There had been a lot of hard work and effort over the 120 minutes and not a great deal of quality but the standard of penalties was great and we won the game which is all that matters.'

Vital Wolves Comment: With Doyle getting an hour under his belt there are some positives to take from the game. But not finding the net is a concern.
